OCTOBER 2020 OVERVIEW

Dear readers, I thank you for your patience (let us pretend someone actually reads this blog, shall we?) September's predictions never made it to the front page as I was mired in personal problems, that is the reason why this entry deals with the current month. I plan to have November's results by the 15th of this month with my perusal of the upcoming USA's elections as promised long ago.

Due to time limit there will be no pictures this time.

I.- MONTHLY OVERVIEW:

→ Short answer: No lollygagging. Defeat your laziness now, tension ahead.

→ Long answer: A month marked by passivity and emotional upheavals where you will find out who is your friend and who is not while you should wholeheartedly hold on to your cash and take the usual contingency measures. Does not mean November will be worse but that we have all let our guard down and we should get a move on.

The reigning theme is The Magician. It means all those plans and actions that begin with you, albeit in its reverse, so either wasted efforts or personal inactivity. You are letting yourself become lazy and unprepared for whatever is around the corner. Lost chances that never come back, passive attitude

On the family, Judgement and the inverted Four of Wands speak of isolated triumphs. Past polarisation will now see having a clear winning side. This means that throughout the tribulations experienced this year many families have found themselves forced between two choices, and how things are going, you will see many a parent be vindicated and proven right on their opinions.

On the social, The Sun and the King of Cups mean that emotional clarity is on the way. Sides will be chosen based on temperamental perceptions of each other. An event where you will either lose or gain much based on “the right opinion”. Labels and witch hunts by self-righteous mongs afoot!

On the professional aspect, Temperance and the Five of Swords come up. The literal Ying-Yang between harmony and decisive actions, translated as that businesses will need to face making harsh choices for the sake of moderation, which is “expect budget and personnel downsizing”. If you happen to be your own boss it takes a different meaning: best to cut your losses instead of new ventures. Unless you trust your skill, of course, I would not dare to tell you how to do your job.

On love, The Lovers and the Ace of Wands, which belongs to the element of the winds, can be quite literally interpreted as “love is in the air” but also the best time to get a clear answer. Show assertiveness and be ready to move on if your love interest seems flaky.

On lessons, The World inverted and the Three of Wands come to signify the contrary to a sense of fulfilment. We are all expected some sort of closure, each to their own, and whatever it may be it is nowhere near close. Finalise your lose ends and do it quick while you can. Not saying doom and gloom are close but I do affirm that now it is the best time to act. And inverted The World means a situation where you seek to end your troubles through the fastest and shortest route, the results varying on your methods, and the Three of Wands is a symbol of opportunity, a chance for a better future that sometimes lies far from where you are. Either move out or look to settle debts, file for grants and government aid, just get around finishing those pending tasks,

II.- WEEKLY OVERVIEW:

→ Short answer:
A month of many disappointments and false security. Month of many spooks.

→ Long answer: The powers that be never fail to disappoint by being stable in their capacity to lose what little trust was deposited in them, so news and media will flare with the usual sensationalist garbage which may lead you to take hasty decisions. The whole month is geared towards making you isolated and miserable, if you let it. How do you avoid that? Well, jump on the next item.

It will go a little something like this:

1.- First week: King of Wands in reverse, Four of Swords and King of Golds inverted. This means lazy government and authority, strife and business stalled due to petty avarice. A calm before the storm, a false sense of security.

2.- Second week: The Empress reversed, Death, The World reversed. This means the end of abundance and a transformation that leads to panicked decisions and “every man for himself” situations.

3.- Third week: Four of Swords, King of Golds reversed, King of Wands inverted. Eerily enough this are the same cards as in the first week but reversed, symbolising a moment of tense relaxation that precedes an economic downturn and a display of ineffective authority.

4.- Fourth week: Three of Wands, Ace of Cups inverted, Four of Cups reveresed. A sense of new horizons that leads with a need for isolation and disappointment. Broken trust on a personal level for many with high expectations.

III.- OUR BEST STRATEGY:

→ Short answer:
Emotional people are a self-solving issue. Let them burn out.

→ Long answer: To prosper you should ignore the bad news and abandon the need to prove your point because short-term minded mongs will seek somewhere and someone to vent. Finding alternatives to your usual expenses will prove invaluable. Do you like smoking? Learn to roll your own cigarettes, and so on.

Anyways the cards come up like this, in case you cannot read it clearly on the picture:

1.- The nature of this reading: Nine of Wands, Meaning that time of reflection after conflict. We are all stalled and tensely expecting deliverance.

2.- The crossing card: Eight of Golds. The value of personal skill. All the things you know to do on your own are king in these times. Means that you should be investing in all the things that make you independent, not so much to fatten your CV but practical things, such as (maybe) getting rechargable batteries and a solar charger, or maybe learn new money-saving tricks and preparing home meals.

3.- The crown card: Page of Golds. This is a symbol of the budding capitalist. We are all concerned with the validity of new ideas to reinvent ourselves. Will that new job offer go through? Will I get a promotion? Those kind of thoughts.

4.- The root card is the real underlying issue, the inverted Page of Swords. It speaks of the decisive actions that governments should be taking but are not. Ineffectual government. While you are worried about your pocket and feeding your family they are focused on fighting with and for ideas, and ignoring your issues. Gross incompetence and childish power-grabs are ruining every country's future.

5.- The past is represented by the Queen of Swords. A series of harsh actions were taken to ensure the future but had not the sufficient force to bring closure. A good start but not enough to finish.

6.- The future comes as Ten of Golds. A return to harmony and abundance. Stability through liquidity, the restart of the economy and the coming of good times. Do not be distracted though, you are only assured that we are going back to normal, but not on how long it will stay like that.

7.- Our emotions are represented by Queen of Golds. A wish for a more mature financial environment and to be able to plan on your future.

8.- Our environment is that of the Six of Golds. We are surrounded by a continuous money leak and a sense of excessive hand-holding.

9.- Our hopes and fears lie in Six of Cups. We wish to return to the good times but are keenly aware that it is not possible. There is no true refuge in fantasy.

10, 11 and 12.- The solution lies with the Four of Wands, the King of Cups and the Five of Swords inverted. It literally translates as “you will find joy only by absolute control of your emotions and ignoring your enemy”. It may also allude to the coming of a cure for the pandemic, but also that the less you involve yourself with proving others wrong? The more you will gain.

Stay away from emotional people this month by making yourself conveniently busy until it blows over. Do not let them turn you into their personal Satan.
