JANUARY 2021 OVERVIEW (Updated per January the 2nd)
UPDATE: Added the interpretation of the solutions. Look beyond the second point.
Happy new year to all of you! Due to time constraints I will be posting the predictions today and the suggested solutions tomorrow. Wish it was otherwise but the year is starting strong and I need to get my act together!
I.-
MONTHLY OVERVIEW:
→ Short answer:
Bad month, do or die, get the head start now or you might not make
it.
→ Long
answer: Not
sure what you and I are supposed to be doing, only that this month is
critical in that we make arrangements soon and wise. No panic, just
make what you think would be good for you to remain safe. Expect
tyranny in the form of taxes and do not rely on others, collectivism
is (unsurprisingly) bad for you.
The reigning
theme is
inverted Justice.
It is going to be a month of perceived slights and institutional
abuse. Matches with how most governments are trying to recover their
hold of the nation through taxation. Whatever happens, a lot of
people will feel it is unfair, and this month you need to keep an eye
out for whoever has power over you as there is nothing but malice to
be expected from them.
On the family, The Hierophant inverted and the Two of Wands. A victory brought by failure to uphold tradition. Considering the reigning theme, it seems some families will find stability in their homes by loss of a parental figure, namely male. On the other hand it might also talk about necessary splits in the family unit. If you happen to become an inheritor you will need to study your newfound situation well ahead to avoid unnecessary taxes and other legal hurdles.
On the social, The High Priestess and the Knight of Swords, both inverted. A bad sign. How is the political scenario right now in your country? That means keep your opinion to yourself or find out how fast friends turn on you. These two cards are respectively symbols for secrets unraveled and fatigue, and when combined are nothing but gossip and cheap talk. Be careful in who you confide.
On the professional aspect, Judgement and inverted Nine of Golds. The consequences of our actions bring us to self-actualization. It is not the time to invest but rather work on yourself, a theme that has been repeating itself across this last year. It is both a call to become a freelance or independent professional rather than a salaried worker, but may also be a warning of unemployment.
On love, Temperance and Six of Golds, both inverted. Lack of restraint will cost you a mean penny on the long run. Unwanted pregnancies, alimony and relationships based purely on self-interest will be the norm this month, or rather the pivoting point. Be very careful with who you have a fling, or even a stable relationship, because inordinate expenses are around the corner. This is not so much divorce as it is the consequences of excess.
On lessons, The Fool inverted and the Two of Swords. There is no lesson this month, there is simply a “do or die” type of situation here. The Fool usually means a walk into the unknown, a turning a new leaf in your life and the wonder of discovery, but in its inverted state means walking unprepared into danger. Whatever you can do this month you will not be able to in the following. This means get your stuff in order now because, for whatever reason, there is a window of chance that is closing down forever.

WEEKLY OVERVIEW:
→ Short answer: It
will get better but cards are pointing fingers. It's on us.
→
Long answer:
Despite our hardships the cards are being quite harsh and basically
pinning the blame on our actions. Though the temptation to mutter
“thanks asshole” might be high please note the cards are going
wild, so much in fact I might start wearing a soldering mask to read
them properly. The
general idea is that there will be strong disappointments and that
you must learn to ignore the bad news in favor of progress.
That means news and media will tell you all about gloom and doom, but
nothing can get you if you have prepared ahead.
It
will go a little something like this:
1.- First week: Nine of Cups, Eight of Swords, The Emperor inverted. Contentment and joy that is replaced soon by hopelessness and victimist emotions, because as the week goes on a falling in authority/government is each day more clear. In other words, institutions are going to make sure you do not stay happy for long by running the same sad clown show.
2.- Second week: Three of Cups inverted, Nine of Wands and Eight of Golds. The bad news of a week ago are accepted and we move on by focusing on survival. A wave of apathy manifested by becoming industrious and focused on personal gain, or rather rebuilding. The people will shrug it off and be too busy picking up the pieces to care about looming dangers.
3.- Third week: Page of Golds, inverted Queen of Cups, inverted Two of Golds. Beware of entrepreneurship because the current disappointment could lead you to a dangerous situation of rebalancing your finances. That means you should do a good deal of research before you trust anyone with your funds as scams and quick investments will abound for this time.
4.- Fourth week: Inverted Temperance, Ten of Wands and Three of Wands. The only way you will be able to flourish after this week is if you recognize what past mistakes have conditioned your living. Sure thing we have gone through a global pandemic but ask yourself if you really have used the time in lockdown for the better. Honesty will set you free, or at least give you a head start.
III.-
OUR BEST STRATEGY:
→ Short answer: Move
on personal failures and accept a less luxurious life, for now.
→ Long answer:
We are apparently going to feel a lot of changes, namely coming from
the governments and their rush for regulations and ending the
pandemic, that much is obvious. Victory lies in adjusting your budget
to lower standards and forming a security net with your community. An
idea would be gathering your extended family into one place and
property, perhaps in the outskirts, but that is not something
everybody can. Seek frugality.
On the other hand it also seems
to suggest submission to regulation which, though I personally do not
recommend, the cards say there is nothing to fear. Our worries about
IMF's wet dream of a hard reset seem unbased despite the evidence,
but whatever happens it happens on the long run, not this
year.
Cryptocurrency is booming btw.
The
draw of six cards, in
detail, goes something like this:
1.- The signifficator
card: The inverted
Eight of Cups, if
upright speaks of wasted opportunity and of disappointment, in its
inverted form implies a “one more try” type of situation. This is
not so much clinging to the past and being inactive but rather trying
to reverse the damage. Dangerously wasted effort.
2.- The impulsor card: Four
of Golds. This represents our worry which is financial
security. Not a big surprise here.
3.- External influences:
Seven of Swords. What is going on apparently. A symbol of
timely retreat but of temporal solutions. Be wary of the actions
of large corporations, would be wise to copy their portfolios if you
are into investment and day trading.
4.- One possible
ending, Six of Swords.
Forceful transition. Compared with the previous card? It means we are
holding on to the past thinking we can reverse the present but we are
going to a bad place according to a plan. It could imply that
catastrophy is inevitable.
5.- Another possible ending
is represented by Six of Wands. The symbol of personal
victory. All will be good and you will overcome, based on the
following card.
6.- The pivoting point comes as Five
of Cups inverted. Another symbol of disappointment but one
that warns on the consequences of not moving on. Our success depends
wholly on letting go and adapting to the present. This means you
should not dwell on failure. Best if you can pretend it was something
wholly out of your control, like finding your basement flooded, the
problem “just is” and there is no point in blaming yourself on
it.
On the other hand, the draw of twelve cards says:
1.- The nature of this reading: Page of Cups, the beginning of emotional balance and communication but also a symbol of actual healing. Speaks, perhaps, of the efforts in ridding the world of our global pandemic
2.- The crossing card: Judgement inverted. Institutional incompetence gets in the way.
3.- The crown card: High Priestess. The obvious worries. This card implies mysteries ahead and situations where you are tested. Uncertainty is slowly killing us.
4.- The root card is the real underlying issue, Four of Wands. Joy and celebration but for who? This leads me to believe either of two things. One is that good times are coming and stability will return. The other is that despite the current climate of strife, someone is obtaining great benefit.
5.- The past is represented by Six of Cups. Nostalgia and the longing to return to such times.
6.- The future comes as Two of Swords. Time to choose between two evils.
7.-
Our emotions are
represented by Inverted
Six of Golds.
Mind on (little) money.
8.-
Our enviroment
is that of the Inverted
Nine of Golds.
Whereas it would normally mean delusion, in its inverted aspect it is
a time for nightmares made real. Be very careful.
9.-
Our hopes and fears
lie in the Ten of
Golds inverted.
Penny-pinching galore.
10,
11 and 12.- The solution lies with
the Two of Wands,
The Hierophant and
Justice.
Literally meaning that planning ahead and sticking to traditional
methods will lead to a balanced life. It
speaks not of adhering to civil law but rather the spirit of it.
Frugality and
unity.
Please make friends in your local community or move into one where
the people are more accepting of you. Strength
in numbers and hard labor.
→ Can
also mean that there is nothing to fear and to obey your vaccination
schedules. Each
to his own, personally I would rather refuse it and wait for updates,
but this interpretation might be suggesting that nothing bad will
come from sticking to regulations, as counter-intuitive they might
seem.
