JULY 2021
I.- MONTHLY OVERVIEW:
→ Short answer: Fucked up month, to be honest. Litigation and loss.
→ Long answer: The most important aspect of this July is fighting inactivity and preparing for a possible natural disaster. The lesser of two evils is losing your partner (in business or romance) due to a financial fallout, but that is something we have all been experiencing since the end of 2019 either way so no big surprise. I really wish I could give you better news but a reasonable warning will do: have a backpack with supplies ready to go.
Now onto what the cards say, bit by bit.
The reigning theme is that of The Tower card in reverse. It is a symbol of personal ruin. Upright means institutions, society and values. Inverted means the ruin of you and your shiny stuff. A regrettable example that comes to mind is the recent landslide in Atami (Japan) so by all means, though it does not mean we are all in for a bad one, it does not hurt to check if your insurance is up to date.
1.- On family, the tendency is marked by The World inverted and the Two of Swords. That means unwillingness to change or move motivated by being forced to decide between two choices. It is only fair to say that families have become polarized in by their constituents' polarized opinions ever since this blasted pandemic hit us, and this month is one of those times.
2.- On friends, inverted Judgement along with Six of Cups in reverse. This is harshness between old friends. Some long-time pals might blame you for their current misfortune or, perhaps you, will misinterpret their actions and become needlessly defensive. High risk of legal problems between associates.
3.- On wealth, The Wheel and the Eight of Golds, that means finally rewarded for your efforts. If you have worked towards the betterment of yourself then you are sure to find gainful employment. This is not a referred to capital investments, only your skillset.
4.- On love, The Hanged Man in reverse and the Four of Golds. Stagnation by financial problems. There will be much bickering between spouses on the subject of money and overspending. Budgets are tight now and what seemed small expenses before are now a reason for a screaming match. Make sure to show promise that you are as safe as you can be in this weather or it may cost you a separation or worse, a divorce.
5.- The lesson The Star inverted and King of Wands. Misfortune both curbed but also motivated by decisive action. You will be much better if you act now and avoid fighting the law, but this precise two cards speak also of sudden tragedy, a combination usually associated to natural disasters.
II.- PER WEEK OVERVIEW:
→ Short answer: Do not make financial plans based solely on confidence. We are not out of the woods yet.
→ Long answer: Something will happen that puts a stop to our problems, but good news in this economy can trick you into having (very) high hopes and plan with too much optimism. The month ends with such a general dissatisfaction that many people will turn to crime or drugs in order to cope.
1.- First week of July: No point given the date of this release, right?
2.- Second week of July: Seven of Cups, Three of Cups and the Nine of Wands. Celebration and recovery of past hardships, planning for the future but some projects are wishful thinking. Knowing the difference is a must to avoid what comes the next week.
3.- Third week of July: The Magician, The Fool reversed and The Hermit. A moment where you take responsibility for your future but ends with costful mistakes and shameful isolation. The following week is a natural consequence of unheeding the previous one.
4.- Fourth week of July: Ace of Golds inverted, Four of Cups, inverted Queen of Cups. A ruined chance for profit, the ensuing dissatisfaction and a surge in immorality.
III.- THE MOST LIKELY OUTCOME:
→ Short answer: The poor will band together, symbolic solutions by the gov't.
→ Long answer: Destitution and resentment are growing again and everybody will hang to a personal savior, thinking that their personal problems have root in society's faults. They will search for an outlet instead of a solution. If you run a store, please be ready for mob violence.
1.- The nature of this reading is the inverted Seven of Cups. We want a sign that things will get better, if only a little.
2.- The crossing card comes as the inverted Three of Cups. The symbol of disharmony and bickering. Time grossly spent arguing over nothing.
3.- The crown card is the inverted Nine of Wands. The apparent reason for this reading is the momentary relief we seem to be experiencing as a society. The pandemic is (semi-officially) over and it is time to rebuild.
4.- The root card is the Three of Wands reversed. The true unseen reason of our problem, which is that of unreliable support. We do not know where we stand currently and the public institutions meant to keep us safe are also disoriented.
5.- The past manifests as the Knight of Swords. A symbol of fast changes, executive orders, rushed mismanagement by the government but also of sudden tragedy. Such have been our days for the most part.
6.- The future will be as per the inverted Six of Golds. Otherwise a symbol of charity or grants, in reverse means little space for profit. Threats to prosperity.
7.- Our emotions are that of the inverted Two of Swords. A sense of betrayed trust and feeling forced into decisions. A tell-tale sign of the restrictions we have endured.
8.- Our environment is the inverted Eight of Golds. Wherever you look you see the failed plans and aspirations of many. Of too many. It is a month of loss.
9.- Our hopes and fears is of the Knight of Cups. We want for someone to do something. We are afraid that said person will promise much and do little.
10, 11 and 12.- The outcome is revealed as the Five of Golds, Knight of Golds and the inverted Four of Swords. Growing destitution will make people organize to demand a help that is thought overdue, but will be only end in much social unrest for little effect. Expect riots again.
IV.- SOLUTIONS: Six cards for two mutually-exclusive outcomes, the difference depending on a single change in attitude.
→ Short answer: No one can save you but yourself. Curb spending and plan ahead.
→ Long answer: It is a very cruel outcome. Though we are in the middle of a global problem, the cards insist in that it is solely in our hands to come on top. The solution lies not only in having money (the irony!) but also controlling its expediture, not so much in that we may be spending too much but all those little things that drain our savings such as service subscriptions and, especially, utilities.
1) Signifficator card, or the situation you are in: The High Priestess. It is a time of intrigues and powerplays happening behind our backs. An intentionally uncertain future.
2) Circumstances card, how you got here: The Sun inverted. Plans stalled by self-deceit or lack of confidence. Loss of spouse/business.
3) External influences, what keeps you down: The Magician. This card is always a representation of the individual, so despite coming up in this category it means that no one but ourselves is what keeps us down. Inaction is the invisible enemy.
4) One ending: The Fool inverted. Walking into hardship brought by your own negligence. An avoidable tragedy.
5) Other ending: The Hermit. Isolation and retrospection, regrets and distancing to better understand the situation.
6) The pivot, of what depends any of the endings: The Empress. Material success and abundance, but also the danger of dissipation and excessive spending.
