NOVEMBER & DECEMBER 2021

TL;DR be like: whatever you do this month will either compensate or worsen the next one.

NOVEMBER 2021.-

I.- MONTHLY OVERVIEW: REWRITE THE SHORT AND LONG ANSWERS.

Short answer: Whatever difficulty we may face yet can be overcome by “lateral thinking”, whatever that means.

Long answer: This month's overview reminds me of how I used to think about debt and credit in my younger years. I thought it was a trick to fool people with bad spending habits into signing off their homes, but then I saw how debtors would often delay their payments as much as possible, even to the point of letting interests pile up over nearly a year, with the sole intention of consolidating the debt into a monthly pittance. This they would obtain by systematically droning sad tales on the phone until debt collectors and credit agencies were traumatized enough to budge into this – absolutely unprofessional – situation

I do not recommend you try this. It take a very special type of person to do it.

What I mean to say is that this month is one of those situations. The solution lies in unusual thinking, basically lifehacks. Seeing how we are under a world-wide crisis centered around electricity and shortages, this can only be overcome by knowing how to cut back and find cheaper alternatives.

Now onto what the cards say.

The reigning theme is Justice in reverse. Unfair month, beware of being used by those to whom you extend compassion.

1.- On family, The Chariot inverted and the Six of Swords inverted. Useless efforts that break the family unit, distancing between parents and/or illness.

2.- On friends, The Emperor inverted, only one card for personal reasons. A loss of relevance between those close to us, not a break-up but losing their favor. Might be an indication of not being truly appreciated by them.

3.- On wealth, The Moon inverted and the Knight of Wands. The worst possible outcome involving violence or a quick departure. Be very careful of thieves and fires.

4.- On love, Temperance inverted and Eight of Wands. Unfaithful partners and the ensuing turmoil. A symbol of fast-paced passions.

5.- The lesson, The High Priest inverted and the King of Wands. Find the middle ground between the unorthodox and the honest heart. It means that it is a month where you can get away with little indiscretions as long as you intend well but beware, with good intentions is after all paved the path to Hell.

II.- PER WEEK OVERVIEW:

→ Short answer:
Denying friends in need will end in bad blood or crime.

Long answer: We might learn the hard way that some of our closest friends are in truth jealous of our perceived good fortunes, and wish nothing but spectate our hardships from the front row. Beware of newcomers, and expect that reconnecting with old acquaintances might bring unwanted requests for financial aid. Try to find out in advance who of your acquaintances is a security risk (people who have access to your finances, privacy or domicile for example – especially roommates – and the things they could do if denied).

1.- First week: Six of Swords, Six of Cups inverted and Four of Golds inverted. A cautious retreat to recover strength, a moment of joy with family or friends that ends in financial setbacks. It means that though we might strengthen our bonds with the people around us that might devolve into being asked for loans.

2.- Second week: Four of Swords, Seven of Cups inverted and Three of Cups inverted. A good head start and intentions that result in comfortable laziness. Beware of procrastination.

3.- Third week: Nine of Wands inverted, Three of Wands inverted and Knight of Swords. A bad turn in matters of health or finance brought about by false friends. It ends in isolation and ill quick decisions.

4.- Fourth week: King of Wands inverted, Eight of Wands inverted and Knight of Wands inverted. Dangerous tempers around you. Violent and dishonest people, some of them in your social circle, coming to blows.

III.- THE MOST LIKELY OUTCOME:

Short answer: Losing your temper may cost you all.

Long answer: It is a month of psychological endurance. Lots of situations where you will be tempted in taking matters in your own hands, or exploding on that irksome clerk, but doing that might make you realize you are not the only person at their wits' end. This does not mean you will find difficulty, just that you must keep a chill attitude if you do.

1.- The nature of this reading is that of the King of Wands inverted. Being under unfair authority, a faulty government or a ruling figure in family. Projects halted because of one person or a specific law.

2.- The crossing card is the Eight of Wands inverted. Stagnation and mistakes done in a rush. A decision taken as being the most logical or obvious answer to our problems, but coming to regret it soon enough.

3.- The crown card, Knight of Wands inverted. Rising hostilities and unfinished projects due to sudden loss of interest. Having great ideas shot down by your environment, especially spouses.

4.- The root card, Six of Swords. Hopes for a better future, a sense of going into hiding or retirement until our perspectives are better. Need for isolation.

5.- The past, Six of Cups inverted. General dissatisfaction, especially in a sense of nostalgia and having relied on the wrong people. Betrayal.

6.- The future, Four of Golds inverted. A chance of destitution if spending is irrational. There will be money but what you spend now on a whim or, God forbid, to “treat yourself” might come back to bite you. Imagine needing money to pay a fine and avoid having your car impounded but having let it go for a pair of sneakers or so.

The problem is not you, the problem is living in a rotten world as we do, so better cover first your “what if” budget first. I know it sucks but better safe than sorry!

7.- Our emotions, Four of Swords. Calm before the storm. A rightful rest, but even if the card suggests a change for the better our anxiety is not letting us go further.

8.- Our environment, Seven of Cups inverted. A renewal in plans, a snap back to reality. We are setting our fears aside in order to plan for the future, apparently.

9.- Our hopes and fears, Three of Cups inverted. Dissipation. We hope for the big change that will make us rich but on the other hand we are afraid of success too, lest it be brief or a lie, and put is in danger once again. Careful with gambling/investment in futures!

10, 11 and 12.- The outcome is in the Nine of Wands inverted, Three of Wands inverted and the Knight of Swords. Obstacles/infirmity, treacherous loss of wealth and a harsh blow, which can either be a sudden change of worse for the law or a vehicular accident.

IV.- SOLUTIONS:

Six cards for two mutually-exclusive outcomes, the difference depending on a single change in attitude.

Short answer: Gains and losses depend wholly on you.

Long answer: Insecurities must be addressed to be fully overcome. It is a month to take action and not to sit back feeling sorry of ourselves, and the key to overcome this is to escape conformity. In other words, if you feel you will be turned down at some job interview then ignore those sentiments, otherwise you deny yourself even the chance!

1) Significator card, or the situation we are in the Eight of Golds. Our bread and butter, we wish to know of its worth in the coming days.

2) Circumstances card, how we got here: Knight of Cups. Emotional roller-coasters and self-doubt.

3) External influences, what keeps you down: Five of Golds. The fear of destitution and how to avoid it.

4) One ending:
Knight of Golds inverted. Foolish mistake, a project with good chances now ruined by lack of due dilligence.

5) Other ending:
Six of Golds. Actual gain, mostly offered by others, such as mortgages, loans, inheritance but also from business partners. If none apply it literally means obtaining as much wealth as work done.

6) The pivot, of what depends any of the endings:
Two of Swords. An impass where we must choose between two excluding choices. Either do or do not. Cards are suggesting to go for solutions exactly where you feel less inclined to, such as asking for a job where you feel insecure about yourself.

DECEMBER 2021.

I.- MONTHLY OVERVIEW:

Short answer: Yet another month of loss, dependent on November's fail safes .

Long answer: The greatest risk here are divorces and partners splitting, thinking they will do better on their own. If you are married it would be a good time to make your research on the matter. If you are not married be wary of false domestic violence reports. Everything else is stifled, but there is the promise that “something good” will come along. Stay tuned no matter how bad it gets, you might yet be surprised!

Now onto what the cards say.

The reigning theme is The Wheel inverted. Both a setback and the consequences of your actions. This is why whatever you do during November is so important.

1.- On family, The Hanged Man inverted and the Three of Cups. Much joy as you find out how your perceptions were not adequate, but on the other hand, might also mean how whole families are affected by the egoism of a single member.

2.- On friends, The Star inverted and the Seven of Cups. Major disappointment, friends might have the wrong idea about you or you might have it about them.

3.- On wealth, Strength inverted and Four of Swords inverted. A wasted effort, stuck trying on the same old ideas with the predictable outcome. Recoup your losses by cancelling your projects before this month!

4.- On love, The Hermit in reverse and the Four of Golds. Love lost out of pettiness, divorces based on failing family economies, partners splitting thinking their significant other was holding them back from success.

5.- The lesson, The Fool and the Six of Cups. Cultivating hope for the future by clinging to the past, or something from the past coming to bring much joy in our present time. No matter how bad things get something will come along in our aid.

II.- PER WEEK OVERVIEW:

→ Short answer:
A singular problem might follow you through all the month.

Long answer: There will be great disturbances surrounding inheritances, be careful of all the legal requirements and due taxes that or other bureaucratic processes might require, because the tension will go beyond the personal. The end of the month is the worst, there is danger coming from those closer to you and/or the government, so keep an eye for those.

1.- First week: Nine of Swords, Five of Wands inverted, Seven of Wands inverted. A great loss followed by a moment of clarity and then dangerous inactivity. This means that we could be surprised with something really bad and that we would let the solution slip out of hand due to grief, or by a false sense of security.

Imagine losing a family member and inheriting their debts, feeling understandably lost and worried, but becoming lazy after finding the right process and missing an important timeline, by which you should had liquidates taxes. That is the sense of these cards. Do not hesitate nor delay to involve yourself in paperwork.

2.- Second week: Seven of Wands inverted, Queen of Wands inverted and Two of Cups inverted. The same threat from the week before, being punished unfairly for it and finding nothing by scorn from your family members or other dependent figures.

Citing the previous example, imagine that you still manage to make something good from that inheritance, but lose it thanks to fines and such, all because you missed this or that paper. Your spouse and similar would not be happy and conflicts could arise from this.

3.- Third week: Six of Wands, Nine of Cups and Ten of Wands inverted. A momentary respite in all but appearance and the ensuing satisfaction, only to find out it was fake and return to the same troubles. Beware of being too hopeful.

4.- Fourth week: King of Swords inverted, Ace of Swords inverted and Ten of Swords inverted. Cruelty from others and lost opportunities that, though harmful, will slowly lose their grip on us. Might represent a harshness of law, tyranny and repression, but the threat comes from those closer to you than anything else.

III.- THE MOST LIKELY OUTCOME:

Short answer: The holidays will pass but the end is nowhere near.

Long answer: Our greatest fear is realizing we were inactive in a time of opportunity such as now. The festivities will probably ease our worries but, as expected, there will be a great loss at the end that though it does not affect us on a personal level might impoverish the collective. Be wary of communal gatherings, better stick to small celebrations with family.

1.- The nature of this reading is that of the Five of Cups inverted. The wish for the return of joy. We wish we can have a dignified end of the year.

2.- The crossing card is the Two of Swords. Worries that force us to choose between two radically different decisions.

3.- The crown card, Six of Golds. Awaiting opportunities and financial grants.

4.- The root card, Knight of Golds inverted. Financial ruin by gross negligence by the authorities.

5.- The past, Five of Golds. A period of ongoing loss and destitution.

6.- The future, Knight of Cups. Great worries but also mastery over the emotional.

7.- Our emotions, Eight of Golds inverted. The fear of failing financially.

8.- Our environment, Ten of Cups inverted. A wave of great sorrow.

9.- Our hopes and fears, Eight of Swords. Feeling lost but unwilling to realize most of our consternation is personal insecurity rather than the ruin that surrounds us.

10, 11 and 12.- The outcome is in The Empress, Seven of Swords and The Tower. The festivities and holidays should be a time of abundance that mitigates all the hurt we have been through, though solves it fully not. There is ruin at the end but fortunately enough is not personal. Only “societal”.

IV.- SOLUTIONS:

Six cards for two mutually-exclusive outcomes, the difference depending on a single change in attitude.

Short answer: Bad times, use November to stockpile.

Long answer: There is no solution now, only the benefits of our past attitudes. November is a month hat should be used to prepare for the worst.

1) Significator card, or the situation we are in: The Tower. A time of ruin but centered around institutions and our core values, rather than our health or wealth.

2) Circumstances card, how we got here: Two of Golds inverted. Juggling debts and mismanaging money.

3) External influences, what keeps you down: The World. Literally the circumstances that have brought our little planet to a grinding halt.

4) One ending:
Judgement. Receiving what you deserve.

5) Other ending:
Eight of Cups inverted. Joy by becoming realistic and professional.

6) The pivot, of what depends any of the endings:
The Wheel inverted. It really is not in our hands but it is rather the result of our actions. November is the key.
